Erik Swars is an artist whose work focuses on moments of Prägung (imprinting behavior). He is working with different materials and medias, from Alu-Pe (aluminum sheet) for his paintings and found footage for his videos, to glass, steel, and wood for installations. Using his archive of analog photography, he masks the surface of his paintings and creates aural spaces. Objects and paintings with commentary on each other are exhibited.
