Artists

Kosuke Ichikawa
Kosuke Ichikawa is a self-taught artist who has honed his understanding of both aesthetics and technique through travels and immersion in the art and culture of the U.S. and Europe. “Memory” has always been a theme of his work, which reflects his childhood experiences with screens and digital culture and has shifted from a focus on monochrome ink and pastel paintings to scratched pieces in color. This exhibition, part of the Yebisu International Festival for Art & Alternative Visions’ Partnership Program, displays new paintings by this up-and-coming artist.
