This event has ended.

Hiroyuki Yamada is an ever-evolving artist who lives in Shigaraki City. He creates ingenious artworks far removed from the general Shigaraki ware style of ceramics. Based on his experiences in the Netherlands last year, he has developed a marbling method by glazing, continuing to expand the range of expression beyond his gold/silver glazes with red painting and has continued to produce surprising, entertaining artworks. This time, for the harvest moon he proves himself with works on the themes of “the moon” and “rabbits.” This exhibition demonstrates his full appeal through objects that are in rich in humor, including eccentric and practical ceramics such as tea bowls and utensils that have gained strong evaluations from tea masters.
