New works by Akira Kamo, who since the Great East Japan Earthquake of 2011 has been exploring the relationship between painting and survival, researching disasters such as the atomic bombing, Mitsumata disease, and the Fukushima nuclear incident. These paintings feature a fences as a main motif, representing boundary zones such as the evacuation and no-entry areas of Fukushima.
