Akiko Tamaki “Emergencies! 038—A Pile of Coins”
Ends in 58 days
In this exhibition, the events of a single day are played on repeat on multiple screens. As time elapses, memories of that day gradually grow dimmer and are rewritten, changing inconspicuously. “A Pile of Coins” is an experimental installation in which this process plays out in distorted video images and narrations. The title comes from something Jorge Luis Borges heard from his father, who likened repeated thoughts to accumulations of coins.
