Pedro Nekoi
A solo exhibition by the Brazilian artist Pedro Nekoi (b. 1992), who uses old magazine photographs and advertisements with animals to create collages. According to him, the world is like a surreal universe or landscape that we might see one day. “Mundos” is filled with hidden meanings and the happiness of creating. At first glance, these works may appear to be simple designs, but closer inspection of the images reveals the strength and brilliance of the Japanese Bubble Era, causing us to imagine a utopia and desire to reconstruct society. “Mundos” means the world in Portuguese.
