Presenting the work of three graduate students in the photography department of Kyushu Sango University. They set their sights on far-off worlds by applying an uncanny perspective to the everyday. Aoi Kato’s work centered on the artist’s home of Shimane Prefecture and base in Kyushu displays a penchant for geometry. Interested in the redevelopment of the area around Hong Kong’s Kai Tak Airport, Tadanobu Nishida shoots this place where the airport has been closed for 20 years. Luo Jiahui pursues the realities of everyday life on the Korean Peninsula amid the coronavirus crisis and the closure of borders.
