Alphonse Mucha (1860-1939), an artist who colored the times of Art Nouveau with delicate and brilliant works created through the “magic of lines”. “Mucha Style” continues to influence artists. This exhibition, which was planned by the Mucha Foundation, is not limited to Mucha’s gorgeous graphic work such as posters, but also early works from the Foundation’s collection, such as early designs and illustrations, books and crafts, etc. In addition, illustrations of literary magazines from the Meiji era influenced by Mucha’s work, graphic artwork that flourished in the United States in the 1960s and 1970s, works of Japanese manga artists and illustrators, etc. will be showcased.
