Working as both an illustrator and artist, Gakiya builds his own world from these two sides of his practice. Born and raised in Okinawa, he is influenced by the American culture that his images evoke a world of post-war horror, SF movies, and comics. In this exhibition, new large-scale works will be exhibited alongside his past drawings and collages.
