Taku Obata
For this exhibition, Taku Obata used traditional lithographic technique. A noted feature of the work is the sense of weight and mass of the material that comes from the use of stone. As befitting a sculptor, the work is profound yet also free in its expression. Obata’s deft hand at creating skillfully shaded yet colorful layers is on full display.
