*Mori Arts Center Gallery will reopen on July 15. The Mori Arts Center Gallery is pleased to announce the new dates for the Oishii Ukiyo-e: The Roots of Japanese Cuisine exhibition as from Wednesday, July 15, through Sunday, September 13, 2020.

Ukiyo-e prints with depictions of Japanese cuisine have been praised for their beauty and ability to capture and convey people’s lives during the Edo period in profound detail. In response to the recent addition of “Japanese Cuisines” to the intangible cultural heritage list, the original exhibition “Oishii Ukiyo-e” is scheduled to open to the public in April 2020. Visitors will be invited on a journey that captures the very essence of the Edo period through visuals, recipes, and actual representations of the techniques that existed during the time.
*Starting on Monday, August 31, admissions past 17:00 daily will NOT require advance bookings. Admissions before 17:00 without advance bookings will also be allowed so far as the time slots have not filled up.
