Shiori Higashiyama’s geometric pictures in watercolor and pencil are inspired by letters and diaries found at flea markets and auctions. “Simple Bed” alludes to the feeling of making do with the minimum when staying at a hotel or spending the first night in a new place that will later lead to decorating according to one’s own taste. The artist’s first plaster sculptures are also presented.
