Goro Murayama “Painting Folding”
Takuro Someya Contemporary Art
Ends in 6 days
Closed Today (Monday)
*In light of the recent rise in COVID-19 infections in Japan, we will temporarily suspend walk-in visits to our current exhibition of Goro Murayama’s “Painting Folding” beginning January 10th. Visitors will be required to make an appointment prior to visiting the gallery. In addition, the exhibition period of “Painting Folding” will be extended indefinitely.
In this exhibition, Murayama will present his signature woven paintings in addition to new works which reference the folding process of three-dimensional structures in protein folding, closely related to the structure of viruses. Murayama’s artistic practice, which brings the epistemology of science and technology to the human imagination, holds significant meaning in our present moment.
*The period of the the exhibitions is unconfirmed and so the final date recorded on TAB is only a temporary guideline
