These works ask, “What do we see in the backgrounds of our everyday lives?” What makes up the backgrounds of artists’ works? What lies beyond the “scenery” of artworks for the viewer? Six young artists explore these questions in works of varying subjects and methods, reflecting on the times and places in which we live.
