Dramatic Lalique

Lalique Museum, Hakone
Finished

Artists

René Lalique
The name Rene Lalique (1860-1945) may evoke perfume bottles. However, Lalique established himself as skilled and creative jewelry maker when he won the Grand Prix at the 1900 Paris Expo. His pioneering work with perfume bottles began later, after meeting perfume merchant Francois Cotti.

This exhibition takes place 160 years after Lalique’s birth and commemorates the 15th anniversary of Lalique Museum Hakone with an exhibition of Lalique’s many bottles and advertisements depicting the glamorous Paris of the time.
