If so, you will be highly welcomed to our opening position for Webmaster. Opera is looking for a passionate webmaster to maintain, develop and design Opera's Japanese site in accord with our official site. You will work in sync with our MarCom team in Oslo and, at the same time, will have to play a leading role to expand the Japanese market by creating an eye-catching, completely original site for customers and users in Japan.
Tasks & Responsibilities
• Development and control of external/internal sites of Opera
• Development of frameworks and contents for mobile web
• Comprehensive support for Opera Software on web-related projects
Skills & Qualifications
Requirements:
• Capability to write code successfully authenticated without using a WYSIWYG editor
• Skills of graphic design
• Employment history or educational background in IT, Computer Science or Web Development
• Good knowledge of XSLT
Ideals (one or more):
Successful candidates have knowledge and experience in several or all of the following areas:
• Excellent knowledge of Web standards and languages, in particular (X)HTML, CSS and ECMA Script
• Overview of the competing languages and APIs on the Web, implementation experience a plus
• Strong interest in Internet interoperability and compatibility
• Knowledge of browser incompatibilities
• Solid knowledge of Opera's capabilities
• Excellent understanding of organizational structures and the ability to identify gatekeepers
• IT-related university degree
• Communicative ability in Japanese
