This January, a few of us from TAB moved to NY to start working on NYAB, the 3rd Art Beat site, following Kansai in 2007 and the original Tokyo version in 2004. Our goal: to launch NYAB at the end of March 2008 as New York's definitive art & design event calendar, a free site with 500 events in 600 museums and galleries. NYAB will also include NYABlog, a web magazine featuring exhibition reviews, artist interviews and video reports.

To achieve our goal we need talented, motivated volunteers and contributions of all kinds to get it started and keep it running. There is no equivalent existing site yet in NY, making this is a challenging project with great potential. By helping us start NYAB, you will be making a great contribution to the art and design scene in NY, building strong connections and friendships along the way.
