Katsuhiro Otomo made his debut over 39 years ago, an event that has since gone down in Japanese manga history as a boundary marker between "pre-Otomo" and "post-Otomo". He has had an enormous impact on international creators all over the world in the fields of comics, film, music and more. Some 20 years after it was first serialized, "Akira" is now being turned into a live-action film that is the talk of the town in Hollywood.

All the works on display at this exhibition are original illustrations hand-drawn by Otomo himself, including representative pieces from Domu, Kibun wa mo Senso, and Sayonara Nippon that testify to the prodigious imagination of this leading manga artist.

All tickets will be sold as Lawson tickets. Tickets for April go on sale March 3rd, while those for May go on sale April 14th. See website for more details.
