German Year in Japan 2005-2006

April 2005 - March 2006

Doitsu-nen poster

The Year of Germany in Japan is a joint initiative of the Japanese and German governments. From April 2005 until March 2006 more than 700 events will present German culture, arts, design, lifestyle, fashion, consumer goods, science and economy around the country.

Germany aims to refresh its image, deepen bilateral relations and create a new interest with the young leaders of tomorrow.

In collaboration with the German embassy in Japan and the Goethe institute, Tokyo Art Beat will list, throughout the year, the art and design events related to this special occasion.

Let's enjoy Germany in Japan!
