Using magazine cuttings, plastic items, scrap wood and other readily available materials, Kaneuji creates hitherto unknown forms and shapes - cream-like sculptures that threaten to flow away at any moment, or installations that resemble anatomical samples of newly discovered organisms. His work gives viewers a enjoyable thrill similar to that of childhood games, or else a sense of wholesome excitement that coexists with an intellectual association, evoking sophisticated, composite impressions.
