Ai Kikuchi

Ai Kikuchi

Born in 1978 and grew up in Tokyo. After graduating from Tokyo Medical and Dental University, Ai worked as a medical laboratory technologist for a several years before rediscovering the charm of art and architecture and deciding to pursue a career in the art world. In the summer of 2006, she moved to London to study English and take a Modern and Contemporary Art course (part-time) at Christies Education, London. During her time in there, she visited many museums and galleries, viewing modern/contemporary architecture and traveling through Europe. After completing her studies at Christies, she returned to Tokyo in September 2007. Ai has developed a strong interest in the process of balancing architecture and art in art-spaces, and she has great enthusiasm for discovering these relationships. She enjoys randomly exploring city streets and making unexpected discoveries.
