Andrew Woodman was born in 1983 in Bexley, South East London. At the age of 18 he gained admission to Central St Martin's School of Art where he studied for four years, first as a painter and later as a video artist. Then, about three thirds the way through his course, he developed an inexplicable obsession with the idea of living in Japan and upon the graduation in 2005 joined a programme to go and teach English there. Now without a video camera, Andrew Woodman prefers to draw and write a lot. His ambition is to remain living in Japan as a writer and artist.
