Born and raised in Manila of mixed Japanese and Filipino parentage, Michiko came to Tokyo in 2008. She has acclimated herself to a second archipelago home that is virginal to summer monsoon outpourings, with no memory of mango trees, and is by comparison impoverished of graft and corruption. Currently working towards a degree in sociology, she enjoys encountering anything that might pass for a novel and sustainable heresy. She is also a fan of Japanese cutting-edge cosmetics, including anti-gravity mascara and waterproof eyebrow pencil that has been tested on professional synchronized swimmers.
