Born in 1981 in Washington DC to Latin American parents and a student of history, economics, philosophy and jazz. After a brief economic stint in Washington, a relocation to Tokyo in 2005 nurtured expectations of cultural exploration and musical practice. An arts, music and cultural journalist, having contributed to Wire, Pitchfork, Dazed, Metal Fashion, and The Japan Times, Vicente currently works with a creative media agency and publisher while pursuing a documentary on the history and development of noise music in Japan.
