Contemporary Art Factory opened in the fall of 1997. The building had a 40-year history as a small factory, and was renovated to create an extensive project space for contemporary art.
The owners aim to bring a new energy to the art scene with lectures, performances and concerts, with a central focus on long-running exhibitions by both Japanese and foreign artists, and will support and promote a wide range of projects.
