The Museum of Modern Art, Saitama, was opened in November 1982 as a comprehensive art museum designed not only for the exhibition of art works but also to promote artistic activities among the general public and provide spaces where members of the public can exhibit their art. The museum's collection contains works by leading modern and contemporary artists and by prominent artists from Saitama and the Japanese and overseas artists who influenced them.

Closed on Mondays
Note:Until 22nd of September opens untill 20:00 on Fridays. On a Public Holiday Monday, the museum is open but closed on the following Tuesday.

Fee

For the Permanent Collection Adults ¥200, University / High School ¥100. For the Special Exhibitions, the price depends on each event.

Access

3 minutes walk from the West exit at Kita-Urawa Station on JR Keihin Tohoku Line. The museum is situated in the Kita-Urawa Park.
