Hara Museum Arc
Museum in The Kanto: others area
Founded as an annex to the Hara Museum of Contemporary Art in 1988, Hara Museum Arc is a wooden building designed by architect Arata Isozaki that sits in lush surroundings next to the Ikaho Green Bokujo. In 2008, an extension modeled after a traditional Japanese drawing room called the Kankai Pavilion was built. The museum is devoted to exploring a variety of different aesthetic traditions, showcasing both contemporary works and classical art and antiquities from the Rokuro Hara collection.
