This exhibition presents the work of Janaina Tschäpe, a German artist of Brazilian descent: film, photography and drawings from the much talked-about "Blood Sea" and "Lacrimacorpus" series.
Within this, the polaroid works which are a continuation of the "Lacrimacorpus" series are a must-see. Tschäpe's work overlays transience with strength and incorporates water, life, womanhood, memory and sorrow, exploring the origin of human nature and existence from a distinctive point of view. Through the dark side of her self, she expresses a sense of isolation as a woman and premonition of the unknown in the harmony of nature and life.
