Horst Janssen
To celebrate Germany Year in Japan, the work of Horst Janssen (1929-95) and his connections with Hokusai Katsushita will be introduced.
Janssen's deformed drawings and prints of portraits, self-portraits, still-lifes, and landscapes that reflected their inner depth are highly acclaimed throughout the world. He was known to be extremely interested by Japanese art, and was especially influenced by the ukiyoe art of Hokusai Katsushika.
There will be a gallery talk by the curator from 15:00-15:30 on April 8th and April 22th.
