Resist is a photographic workshop whose main lecturer is Masayuki Yoshinaga. Daido Moriyama is an occasional adjunct lecturer. Started in 2006, Resist aims not to polish photographic technique, but rather pursues more conceptual objectives in the name of expression and "live" photo-taking. It hopes to discover new talent, unbound by existing values or market conditions, promoting a sort of expressive stamina to continually make exciting work. Over the course of the half-year workshop, students are put through a rigorous program, and the fruits of that process are displayed in this exhibition.
