Arts Isozaki presents "Frozen Screams," a solo show by Fuyuki Yamakawa, a khoomei singer and artist active across Japan and abroad. Using "voice" and "body," Yamakawa creates a trans-disciplinary performance that crosses the boundaries of music, fine arts, and performing arts. The artist engages the audience's visual, auditory, and cutaneous senses, and often collaborates with artists from diverse fields and has received invitations from all over the world. This exhibition will feature eight new tableaus by Yamakawa. "Frozen Screams" are paintings based on the theme of human "screams," which are abstracted and visualized. However, behind the crystallization of these works lies a raw life that transcends human reason. This is the first painting series by Yamakawa, who has been focused on "voice" and "body."
