Opening the Doorway of Science

Sagawa Art Museum
FinishedReservation Required
This winter, Sagawa Kids Museum will hold an exhibition titled “Opening the Doorway of Science," which was created by Fukuinkan Shoten's monthly picture book "Kagaku no tomo" (Friends of Science).

Since its first issue in 1969, "Kagaku no tomo," the world's first monthly science picture book, has been conveying to children the joy of seeing, thinking, and learning. The magazine conveys the joy of discovering the world through small questions and discoveries in daily life, which expands and deepens the world.

This exhibition was born out of the "Kagaku no tomo" series. In addition to exhibits that allow visitors to experience the contents of the picture book, this exhibition introduces the world of "Kagaku no tomo" through a reproduction corner where visitors can enjoy the charm of the pictures in the picture book, as well as through two hands-on digital exhibits. There are many "doorways" to the world of "Kagaku" hidden in our daily lives. This exhibition will provide an opportunity to gently open such doorways.
