The museum is conducting research at the Sakitari Cave site in southern Okinawa to uncover the lifestyle of Paleolithic people over 20,000 years ago. The site reveals unique adaptations of Paleolithic people to the island, providing new insights. The exhibition explores the rich reality of the first humans to reach the Ryukyu Islands, crossing the sea.
