poster for Shinsuke Tsuitsui Exhibition

This event has ended.

Tsutsui is an artist who has consistently been using beeswax as media, expressing “insects” as his motif.
Motifs of the nine works shown in this exhibition are parts of Ecdyonurus yoshidae larva, adult eclosion subimago, and intestine of Trichopetra larva. While he deals with aquatic insects that are used as an exquisite model for fly-fishing, he also appoints a message that takes thoughts on environment, in hope to pursuit for total understanding of the world and its contest. Also, during the exhibition we plan to play the computer-generated music created by a number of sound artists who were inspired by a motif of aquatic insect and the works by Tsutsui.

Tsutsui who has kept his style of beeswax and insects to pursuit this expression challenges to deepen its content in this exhibition.
