Sylvia Yasuda + Masato Shida "Stained Glass - The Ethos of Shapes Made by Light"
This event has ended.
An exhibition of stained glass that Masato Shida produced so as to recreate drawings and collages by Sylvia Yasuda, the late wife of sculptor Haruhiko Yasuda.
Shida studied the art of making stained glass in France, and actively works to produce works in Japan and France. The themes in Sylvia Yasuda's artwork are rooted in the Bible, and her works are filled with deep religious feelings, creating a world of serene silence. The works displayed at this exhibition are a merging of Sylvia and Shida's thoughts as Shida honors the late artist.
As a special display, bronze works by Haruko Yasuda will be exhibited.
