This event has ended.

In this exhibition, Yasushi Ebihara presents a new body of works that draw inspiration from our sexual desires in the era of digital technology. With his investigations in the media to our increasing desires, these paintings raise unavoidable issues through the keywords of strangeness, discomfort and emptiness that we have been experiencing in these days. He convinces human "hair" as a metaphor for sexuality. Looking back into history, we see that hair represent our worldly desires. For example, these images leave our control and begin to create their own linguistic structure and in turn control us. This structure grows in a way representing the relentless growth of human hair and seems to laugh of our resistance of it. Ebihara's naive yet complex approach will offer us the key to open its paradox.
