This event has ended.

Ryohei Usui, now 23 years old, made his debut when we was 19 years old at the exhibition "Stolen Diaries" curated by Kiki Kudo at Yasu Gallery.

In this exhibition entitled "Sunday Remains", Usui emphasizes an aesthetic that is found throughout Japanese history by incorporating ordinary motifs from daily life. He began by searching for things that hold unchangeable elements from old times. Taking historic ruins and sacred offerings as motifs, he presents these themes within the context of ordinary life to transcend time and space, and to create something which anyone can relate to.

Opening Reception: October 3rd (Wed) 18:00-20:00
