Qhapac Ñan was the main trade route in the Andes constructed during the time of the Incas, leading from Colombia in the north and stretching 4000 km as far south as the center of Chile, facilitating the exchange of goods and information and contributing to the prosperity of the Inca empire. This exhibition features over 100 vivid photographs of this great historical road, as well as maps and explanations of plants, animals, ruins, traditional ceremonies, rites and lifestyles found along this main thoroughfare in present-day Peru.
