Machiko Ogawa
Gallery Hashimoto is pleased to present a new exhibition of Machiko Ogawa. Born in 1964 in Sapporo (Hokkaido), Ogawa graduated from National University of Arts and Music, and studied in France and West Africa, where she also had a chance to learn its original pottery. Ogawa's work easily crosses over the boundary between crafts and fine art, and attracts viewers with her very original world. In this exhibition, we will encounter her very new large two works in a private gallery space. She has been working on this series since last year. Although these two are in the same series, they look very different in their shape and glaze. Comparing these two next to each other, we might be able to presume her noematic channel during the working process.
