Hiroshige Utagawa "53 Stations of the Tōkaidō"
This event has ended.
During the Edo period, the Tokaido became one of the world's safest and most well-maintained highways. Traffic along the Tokaido gradually grew with the ranks of pilgrims making their way to Ise shrine and tourists seeking relief at renowned hot spring baths. This exhibition showcases 55 prints by Hiroshige that depict views of the Tokaido highway.
