Using a spade, Kazuhiko Kudo digs up and collects soil and earth samples from Asahikawa in Hokkaido, which is distinguished by its extremely fine granular texture. He then shapes the earth using an old-fashioned kick pottery wheel in order to produce white ceramic pieces.
