Dyeing crafts artists Keisuke Seizawa and Yoshitaka Yanagi are representative artists of the Mingei Folk Art Movement in the fields of dyeing and fabric-weaving. Both of them greatly respected each other and were also friends outside of their artistic activities, which were enriched by Okinawan bingata and textiles. This exhibition introduces around 100 examples of Seizawa’s vibrant work and Yanagi’s progressive and unique creativity.
