“Wonder Seeds 2014”

Designed in 2003, Wonder Seeds is an open-call exhibition that selects and sells the works of young artists with the idea that “buying art = supporting artists.” It is an opportunity for young artists and art lovers and collectors to connect with each other. A selection of small and accessible works including paintings, prints, illustrations, and photographs from all across Japan are displayed and sold. Wonder Seeds not only allows young artists to learn about selling their works, but also helps art fans become more informed about art ownership. In 2013, the works of 100 artists were chosen out of 640 entries. The 2014 exhibition presents another 100 carefully selected new works.
