This exhibition began as an independent forum for artists to express the appeals of contemporary art. The concept of the show, which features familiar artwork such as calendars, is “art we look at daily.”

Used as tools for connecting the personal, professional, and other “times” in our lives, these calendars by six women artists feature drawings and photography. They serve as “windows” onto the elapse of time, brightening and weaving together the 365 days in the years of the artists and viewers. The calendars feature flowers, metaphorical subjects loved for their beauty and fragrance, yet often treated as anathema in contemporary art. Through the unexpected motif of flowers, considered by some to be a cliché of “safe” art, the artists vie for creative “blossoming” in an array of styles.
