Every year the Clean Radio Waves Environment Association holds a competition for junior high school students to create posters promoting safe environments for the reception of radio waves. This year's competition received 2978 entries from which 10 were selected for awards by the Minister for Internal Affairs and Communications, the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology and the head of the Japan Commercial Broadcasters association.
