Project N 54 - Mihoko Ogaki
Tokyo Opera City Art Gallery
This event has ended.
Through the gathering of many small units a single shape, concept, heat is formed, the star filled nightsky, the crowd filled stadium, the cells expanded under a microscope, all of these collectives swell, saturate, deflate and eventually die. In her work Ogaki continues to explore the shared qualities of life and death, the fundamental human trait of aging. In recent years she has taken the direct motif of the human body, the components of flesh and bone as well as the whirl of emotions which we are made of, and has developed a series of works dealing with human life and the universe in parallel with each other.
