Ginza Shoko Kanazawa Museum
Megumi Ogita Gallery
This event has ended.
The twenty-seven year-old calligrapher has already been responsible for high-profile work, such as for NHK’s Taika drama series “Taira Kiyomori,” and has held exhibitions at Todaiji and other major temples. Kanazawa, who has Down Syndrome, approaches her art with a pure focus, creating pieces that transcend the genres of calligraphy and painting to stir people’s emotions.
This year Megumi Ogita Gallery in Ginza Nichome will present three exhibitions of Kanazawa’s work, helping fulfill the artist’s desire to bring joy to her audiences. She works as the director of the Ginza Shoko Kanazawa Museum, offering the opportunity to meet her in person. The first exhibition will feature mostly new works created with hope for the future in mind.
