Directed by art critic Yasushi Kurabayashi, this exhibition considers the art and aesthetics of the Meiji-era author Mori Ogai, who played a prominent role in introducing European aesthetics to Japan. It explores the ties of Ogai’s artistic principles to the contemporary period and to the future. Works by the contemporary artists Mima Akasaki and Kyotaro Hakamada are also on display.
