Korekkiriennale is the attempt of several event organizers in their 20s and thirteen young artists to answer the question of how the field around Musashi Koganei Station on the Chuo Line can be used for local expression. Based in Chateau 2F, headquarters of the NPO Artful Action located just outside of Musashi Koganei Station, the festival brings exhibitions and events at six different locations.

A highlight of Korekkiriennale is that almost all of the featured artists are presenting new works. Visitors can enjoy several one time-only exhibits and performances, including works that could only be created on the field and pieces inspired by Koganei. Related events included four talks by art critics and researchers on creating exhibitions for the field and ways to emblemize the memory of a town.
