Ai Ito “To Live in Japan”
This event has ended.
Around 30 color photographs taken since November 2009 of Japanese graves. These graves are carefully tended to by family members as gathering places after relatives’ deaths. Found at temples, villages, private cemeteries, family gardens, and seashores, these graves are a part of Japan. The photos here capture the Japanese landscapes formed by the graves of people who lived in Japan.
